Long-Term Care

What is Long-Term Care?
A combination of Medical and Health Care services required by someone on a
regular basis for an extended period of time.
This can include everything from needing assistance with bathing, meals, and medications to an extended stay in a nursing home. All of these things can add up to a huge financial burden if you're not prepared.
Long-Term Care had three different levels, ranging from basic custodial care
to skilled care.
1) CUSTODIAL CARE Primarily for those who need assistance with the six basic
activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
eating, dressing, walking, getting in and out of bed, taking
medicine, and bathing.
2) Intermediate Care For those who require occasional nursing care or rehabilitative care by trained medical professionals. Some people can receive this care at home, while others may need to be in a nursing home.
3) Skilled Care For people who no longer need to stay in the hospital but who require the direct daily care of doctors, nurses, and other health care
professionals. This type of care exceeds the "helping hands" assistance that family members are capable of giving.
*Studies have shown that the cost of Long-Term Care will triple in the next 10 years*
Long-Term Care is affordable and recommended while you are still healthy.
