After moving to Arizona from Baltimoree, we have seen our state grow and change immeasurably.
We began our professional career at the age of 18. I was employed at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Arizona. I was afforded the opportunity to learn a wide variety of aspects regarding the Health Insurance Industry. I also assisted in the start-up office in Flagstaff, Arizona. Our office verified benefits and processed health insurance claims for the employees of all Flagstaff Schools including Northern Arizona University employees, as well as training and semi-managerial duties.
My other experience includes knowledge of PCS-Pharmaceutical Card Systems-Third party Administrator. I was a member of the ground floor implementation team in the program roll out of the RECAP machine. This device verified clients prescription benefits via electronic terminals across the United States. Several hundred pharmacies daily would also call into our 1-800 to verify drug formularies, benefits, exceptions, etc. This was for two and half year project.
I then had the opportunity to assist Mercy Care-ACCCHS clients. This was a high volume claims processing position where my team averaged over 100 claims daily.
I was then recruited to work for Samaritan Healthcare (now Banner Health) and processed employees medical claims according to their benefits. 150-200 claims processed daily. (This was before electronic processing!)
I decided to broaden my horizons in the Insurance world as I accepted a position at USAA - United States Automobile Association in Phoenix, Arizona. This unique company insures the Military for Property & Casualty Insurance-Auto and Home. This position entailed the addressing of 100-200 inbound calls daily from Military personnel from all over the world. Often we only had a short time to accomplish many tasks as the member on the phone was sometimes due to ship out in mere hours. Our duties were to also offer new products for the members such as auto finance, banking, life, homeowners and investments. This exciting position entailed holding 46 state Property and Casualty Licenses and being recognized as a leader in Cross-selling 33 products in one month- Recipient of the Top Marketing Agent Award.
After successfully working thru all the various opportunities I decided it was time to branch out and become my own boss. I worked for Farmers Insurance for 2 years as an agent. However, I was still looking to have that rewarding feeling in helping others. I wanted to represent the various highly rated companies and give people the Freedom of Choice but also to have a great piece of mind knowing that they have affordability as well.
I decided to pursue my Passion for Helping Others. With the support of my family. I started Insure 2 Health, my own Health Insurance Brokerage. My Mission Statement is: Educate others and assist with compassion and Overcome the uncertainty and uneasiness of understanding health insurance.
To be successful with this statement in 2010 my goal is to accomplish the Educational Seminars for the Medicare Field and also the Health Insurance Field.
